The P&A Group evolved from the merger of over 125 years of experience in turnaround and insolvency and 40 years of credit management and debt collection.  The roots of The P&A Partnership dates back to 1885 when George Poppleton & Charles Appleby joined together to form an accountancy practice specialising in insolvency.

Today, the practice provides a countrywide service for clients from a centre of excellence in Sheffield and has offices in Leeds, London,York and Glasgow.

In 2002 P&A acquired the long established and well respected debt recovery business James Peters & Co.  A major investment in people, premises and technology led to the creation of P&A Receivables plc which together with The P&A Partnership puts the group at the cutting edge of business support.  Collectively the group provides a broad range of services to major clearing banks and asset based lenders, global corporations and numerous UK based businesses from owner managed businesses to large plcs.
